Returns and refunds policy for custom, handcrafted appliances

What we make

All of our appliances are custom-made from your impressions by our lab. Because each device is built specifically for you, it cannot be resold or restocked.


Cancellations

You can cancel any time before we start fabrication. If your impression kit has already shipped, you can still cancel; the kit cost and shipping are not refundable once dispatched. Once we receive your impressions and the lab begins fabrication, the order becomes final and non-refundable.


Custom items are non-returnable

Finished custom appliances and any used or opened impression kits are not eligible for return or refund. This helps us keep prices as low as possible.


Impression kits

An unopened kit may be returned within 14 days of delivery; return shipping is paid by the customer. We do not provide prepaid labels for returns. If you decide not to proceed, please email us first for return instructions.


Damages, defects, or wrong item

Please inspect your delivery on arrival. If an item is damaged in transit, defective, or not what you ordered, email contact@mewingshop.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos. We’ll review and remake or replace as needed at no cost to you.


Fit issues and breakage

Minor adaptation pressure is normal in the first days. If something feels off, send photos of the appliance in your mouth and we’ll guide you. If a wire or acrylic breaks, most cases are due to mechanical stress; function is often unaffected and you can usually continue using it. We offer a paid repair service and, if needed, a paid remake. Turnaround for repairs is typically about a week after we receive the device.


Exchanges

Because devices are custom, we can’t do direct exchanges. If you wish to switch to a different model, we can review your impressions and offer a paid remake or a discounted replacement where possible.


EU cooling-off

For EU customers: the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalized. Unopened impression kits remain eligible under the standard 14-day period.


Refund timing

For eligible refunds (for example, approved kit returns or billing errors), once approved we process the refund to your original payment method within 10 business days. Your bank or card issuer may need extra time to post it. If 15 business days pass after our approval and you don’t see the refund, email us.
